Chesterfield Canal locks vandalised

BOTH the gate and ground paddles of two Chesterfield Canal locks have been vandalised in Worksop on the off side.

Stret Lock and Deep Lock at Rhodesia above Worksop have had the paddles vandalised on both locks, with only the towpath side gate and ground paddles operable.

We are told it is hoped to have these repaired this week, but in the meantime care should be taken.
