THE TOP GATE LEADING TO Froghall Basin on the Caldon Canal has 'structural integrity'.
It is thus closed to Navigation Keith Gudgin reports.
It was following an inspection, as a precautionary measure due to concerns regarding the structural integrity of the top gate. The top gate and part of the basin shown.
Remain closed
The lock will remain closed until the required repairs can be undertaken. These repairs are currently planned to take place during the forthcoming winter stoppage programme.
So this means access to the basin will be closed until them.
