IT WAS TWO YEARS AGO that Tim Fish set his former friends cruiser alight.
And jailed after pleading guilty to arson while being reckless as to whether life was endangered, Janet Friend reports.
Caught on CCTV
Tim Fish was caught on CCTV it showing him approaching the cruiser moored on the Oxford Canal on Duke's Cut. Then moments later there was an explosion with fire seen throughout the boat, that Fish had walked towards.
Fish had poured an obvious explosive liquid from a can on to the boat, that belonged to Max Lamb, who was inside the boat at the time, it was told by the prosecution in Oxford Crown Court.
Max Lamb was able to put out the flames with a fire extinguishers, that were inside the boat.
The prosecution told the court the former friends had fell out two years earlier,
Jailed
Fish, of no fixed address, was jailed for seven your three months after pleading guilty to arson while being reckless as to whether life was endangered.
He was also handed a 10 years restraining order.
