A LOOSE CILL HAS CLOSED the Rochdale Canal.
This is from Butler Street Lock 81 to Brownsfield Lock 83, and closed the navigation yesterday Friday 6th March.

Site visit
The trust's local team have been alerted and are 'planning a site visit to carry out investigations and plan a method of repair'.
With it being a cill problem it is most likely that the area will have to be drained, so there is no intimation of when the problem will be sorted.
