TIME AND TIME AGAIN over the past few months flood alerts have been issued for the Trent.
And another one yesterday with the Environment Agency telling there is a flood alert in force all the way from Castle Donington to Cromwell Weir.
Whole of the river
This includes the whole of the river from Derwent Mouth Lock to the lock at Cromwell onto the tidal Trent. The picture is of the weir at Sawley.
This of course also includes the lower reaches of the Soar, with all navigation halted.
It is expected to effect parts of Nottingham and Stoke Bardolph and properties around Cavendish Bridge.
Many other river navigations, particularly the Severn are also effected.
