THE PASSAGE FOR BOATS that had been stuck on the Weaver was successful.
This was as Marsh Lock was made available for the boats, Keith Gudgin reports.
The trust is now planning to allow another passage through Marsh Lock on Wednesday, 4th February 2026 that will allow passage from the river to the Shropshire Union Canal.
Repair work
After this the lock will be closed for repair work to get it back into working order.
But the passage on the 4th February is for narrowboats only as it will be single gate only operation, as this is all that can be managed at this time.
