THE EVER FAILING Keadby Rail Drawbridge is once again operational.
But the question certainly is—how long will it last?
Also known as Vazons Bridge, it has a record of failings this year, though having an overhaul in January, Keith Gudgin reports.
This time it failed a week ago but there was no explanation given.
All we are told now is 'the repairs were carried out and the bridge is now operational'.
Canal & River Trust advise that for Keadby Lock, you must call at least 48 hours ahead to book passage on 07733 124611 or the landline 01724 782205.
Also you should also call the lock keeper about 30 minutes before arrival to confirm conditions, as timings vary due to weather, tides, and river levels.
