TO CONSERVE WATER it has been decided to open Marston Doles locks (15 and 16) on the Oxford Canal on Wednesdays and Thursdays only.
This comes into force after being closed from Friday 7th November, Keith Gudgin reports.
From that date onward, the locks will only be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays, Canal & River Trust tell, to help conserve water and maintain safe navigation conditions.
Remain closed
The locks will remain closed on all other days until further notice.
The trust tells it is regularly reviewing water levels, and as soon as conditions improve, it will look to restore normal navigation or provide additional passage opportunities where possible.
