PEEL WATERS HAVE BEGUN its development’s foundations for 2,350 homes by Liverpool Docks.

PrincessDockThis will be a 26 acres site by Princess Dock (pictured) that could cause its closure during the construction, Janet Friend reports.

There has been a groundbreaking ceremony where contractor Graham’s initial work will be securing the site’s essential infrastructure, including underground utilities, roads, and Central Park, that will be the scheme’s 4.7 acres public space.

Part of the Liverpool Waters masterplan

Peel Waters is working with four developers to bring forward a range of housing and mixed-use schemes, that is a component of the wider £5bn Liverpool Waters masterplan.

Liverpool Waters is a 30 year regeneration project covering 150 acres between Princes Dock and Northern Docks along the Mersey in Liverpool.

It's effect on boaters being able to access the docks that form the end of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal is not yet known.
