STILL THEY FAIL?—it has to be a swing bridge. And it has to be on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.

This time it is the power has been turned off. With the bridge open to road traffic but not to navigation.

Four failures

There have already been four swing bridge failures on the Leeds & Liverpool this month—Bradley, Micklewaite, Maghull and the Warehouse—twice.

The Warehouse swing bridge failed on the 17th and on the 24th of this month...

Today, Friday, another swing bridge has failed, Keith adds.

This time it's the Selby Toll Road Bridge on the Ouse that is no longer working. The trust stating it has been advised by North Yorkshire County Council that the Selby Toll Road Bridge is not able to swing due to mechanical issues.
