Roydon Marina extending

THE Roydon Marina is extending with new narrowboat and widebeam berths coming next year.

Boasting of being just 30 minutes from London by train the marina is situated near Harlow in Essex and gives access to the Stort and Lee.

Phase one is on track to be completed in March 2024 with new moorings with anti-slip walkways. Moorers have the facility of smart card operation and electric car chargers.

No residents

It has 315 berths at present, but does not however cater for resident moorers.

A new facility building with bathrooms, laundry and Elsan will be provided and the rather rough access road is to be improved with resurfacing.

Phase two will include the provision of the installation of a slipway and boatyard.
