A SERIOUS leak has closed the water points at Great Haywood today, Thursday.
The two taps at Great Haywood on the Trent & Mersey at Great Haywood are important to boaters as there is little supply of water whether travelling on the Trent & Mersey or Staffs & Worcs canals, Keith Gudgin reports.
Need to excavate a roadway
Severn Trent have found the leak before the boundary box/meter, and unfortunately it could not instigate a repair as they will need to excavate the road.
All is now waiting for contractors to confirm the starting date of the work that is required.
