Boat Parade for Birmingham

THE Birmingham Canals Navigation Society (BCNS) has organised a Boat Parade as a lead up to the Commonwealth Games.

This parade will be presented as part of the Birmingham 2022 Festival, celebrating the people, history and stories of the canals.

Cruise the waterways

The Boat Parade will start from the Roundhouse adjacent to Sheepcote Street in the centre of Birmingham at 2pm on Saturday 25th June and cruise the waterways toward Selly Oak to return to moor in the centre of Birmingham.

A wide range of decorated boats will take part in the Boat Parade, with many vantage points for spectators along the route.

After returning there will be the opportunity to view the boats and also on Sunday morning before they leave to return to their home moorings.
