Liverpool Link stay shortend

THE period that boaters can now stay in Liverpool after using the link has been reduced from 14 days to seven days, Canal & River Trust has decided.

The reason given is that it will enable more visitors to be welcome to Liverpool, and is the result it states of a consultation, Keith Gudgin tells us.

More opportunities

This will provide more opportunities for boaters to visit the canal up to Stanley Top Locks on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal without having to book a Liverpool Link passage into the docks, and will allow the change to providing ‘in' and ‘out' passages on the Link on every operational day rather than separate ‘in' and ‘out' days as now.

Six boats either way will be accommodated daily with the exception of Tuesdays when the Link is closed for maintenance.
