Grand Union floods

THE Grand Union Canal flooded at both Stonebridge and Harlesden yesterday, Thursday, with water covering walkways and streets.

Both pedestrians and drivers were affected as water overflowed from the canal feeder that supplies the waterway. It is believed that it had become blocked, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Covered road

The water had covered the road through Hillside and had reached the pavements, with no one seeming to be aware of the cause.

Canal & River Trust have turned off the supply to prevent an increase in flooding and are investigating the cause.
