Another K&A stoppage

STILL another Kennet & Avon Canal stoppage, this time its a swing bridge—Tyle Mill Swing Bridge, by Tyle Mill Lock.
It is out of action due to a 'technical fault' we are told, but it is being worked on today (Wednesday) Keith Gudgin tells us.
More planned maintenance
To the comment by the Trust that 'Sustaining a working 200 year old canal system requires unplanned maintenance work', Keith adds, if it had a bit more planned maintenance work then the unplanned would be minimised would it not?
It most certainly would.
