A WOMAN arguing with her boyfriend in a narrowboat resulted in her killing him and being convicted of manslaughter.

Boater Natasha Elderfield stabbed her boyfriend Robert Dobinson, during an argument on their narrowboat moored on the Thames at Abingdon last October, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Drinking

It was stated in Oxford Crown Court that she had been drinking when she stabbed him in the chest and in the hand with a kitchen knife after a row about an affair with another man.

Though Robert Dobinson was rushed to hospital he died from his injuries, with Natasha Elderfield subsequently charged with manslaughter and convicted after a two weeks trial.

It took the jury three days to return the verdict, and she will be sentenced later this month.
