Another leak

A 'LEAK' has been discovered on the Peak Forest Canal, which is now closed to navigation until further notice.

The leak is near to the Junction with the Macclesfield, on the Whaley Bridge side, with the waterway closed between bridges 19 and 22, cutting off navigation to Bugsworth Basin.

Being inspected

We are told the leak is being inspected and an update will be given as soon as possible.

[It is hoped it is not major, as we have planned a cruise to Bugsworth Basin next month!]
