Catching up on your stories, those about the treatment of ill and infirm people by Canal & River Trust as told by your correspondents I found most disgusting.

 

Of course we do not actually know whose fault it was owing to the smoke screen that was put up—was it policy or was it sheer cussedness on the part of those enforcing, but who ever was responsible it is hardly in the spirit of the self-styled charity.

To my mind it is a great pity they don't show as much concern for their grossly overcharged customers, I'm one of them, as they do for their precious water rats.
