Mooring problems

I have just read Victor's piece and I have to agree, it is getting very difficult to find moorings, writes Jenny MacGillivray.

When we first started narrowboating we used to cruise longer days and evening cruising was one of my favourite times. You can't take a chance on doing that now, unless you moor up by about 4.30pm you don't stand a chance.

Problematic

We are extended cruisers, and getting a mooring close to a supermarket for a major restock is really problematic.

Our difficulties are further compounded by the fact my husband has become partially disabled, (but we are not going to let that interfere with our dream of exploring the whole network) one piece of equipment we have found really useful is a pair of hedge clippers , we chop down the veg at the edge so we can find the edge!
