A test case

I WRITE In response to Simon Greer's question, in narrowboatworld 'CaRT stole my boat. I want it back', as to who is to be the next boater to be left homeless by CaRT? Asks Pam Pickett.

In answer to the question, if what can only be a test case currently proposed by CaRT to remove a particular boater from the waterways succeeds, it won't be the next boater to become homeless we have to wonder about, 'Maggie' may well become but one of the many!

Trust has to win

To clarify, the nitty gritty of what this particular boater about to face legal action by CaRT has been told by Andrew Walker, the Ombudsman, is that the Trust has to win the proposed case, because if it were to fail CaRT's new ‘Guidance for boaters without a home mooring' and the Trust's ultimate plan to proceed with its un-legislated enforcement that is to encompass us all, other than hire boaters, may well end up dead in the water!
