Leicester Section where child fell in is now open

THE Leicester Section that was closed when a two years old child fell into the water has fully reopened,

But alas no sign of the child or a body, but the section of the Grand Union between Kings Lock 38 and Freeman's Meadow Lock 41 is now fully open, Keith Gudgin reports.

Search continuing

The search for the child that fell into the water at Aylestone Park however is still continuing with searches around the area in case something should be discovered.

As rafts are now being used to search the undergrowth, boaters are asked to take care when cruising through the area.

It was on Sunday 18th February when the child disappeared.
