Is it a 'structural fault' or an 'electrical fault'?

ELECTRICAL failures have been responsible for four closures in November.

The latest one, now in December—if that is what it is—being on the Top Lane Lift Bridge (3) on the New Junction Canal that failed on Monday, Keith Gudgin reports.

Two reasons

Canal & River Trust state it is a 'structural failure' that caused the stoppage, then that the bridge is closed 'due to an electrical fault'.

But whatever, the navigation is closed.
