TWO teenagers aged 14 and 15 have been charged with alleged  assaults against pensioners and others including cracked ribs and a shattered kneecap.

The police believe that a total of six people have also been pushed into the Wolverhampton Canal, during the spree of assaults, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Offences

One of the boys has been charged with theft, a public order offence and five counts of assault, that include offences alleged to have been committed against men aged 71 and 72.

The two will appear at Wolverhampton Youth Court in January to answer the charges against them.

It was several victims who had contacted the police telling that they had been assaulted on the towpath of the waterway, suffering varied injuries.
