Served its purpose

THE State of the Waterways category in the Gallery in narrowboatworld has now been removed.

We believe this has served its purpose, by revealing just how the infrastructure has been allowed to deteriorate under the present regime, with 126 photographs showing how 'British Waterways is neglecting its prime responsibility'.

Used the information

Many organisations, we have learnt, have used the information to counteract the mis-information put out by British Waterways, but as the season ends, and the winter maintenance starts, it is only right that it is given the chance to see if it attends to the many problems that were shown, so the photographs have been removed.

We thanks the contributors who had taken the trouble to upload their photograph(s) which gave such a dramatic view of the condition of the waterways.
