Another marina for the Llangollen

THE PLANS for the extension of the Llangollen Canal at Trevor and a new marina have had the backing of over 2,000 locals.
The petition, as reported in narrowboatworld, attracted widespread local support for the building of a £15 millions marina including an extension to the Llangollen Canal at Trevor, Alan Tilbury tells us.
Over 60 boats
The sponsors, Plas Kynaston Canal and Marina Group, believe the development would create 'a whole new tourism industry in the area', which they hope would include a working forge or museum, as well as moorings for over 60 boats.
The petition and plans would be officially raised at a council meeting on either September 22nd or 26th, and at the meeting the group will have the opportunity to present their ideas formally.
