NOW A FURTHER CANAL is closed through lack of water.

The Huddersfield Narrow Canal, Keith Gudgin reports.

It was reported yesterday, Friday, that the waterway between locks 24W and 32W was low.

Decided to close

Upon inspection it was decided to close the navigation between those locks.

We are informed that the trust's team are working to restore water levels to allow navigation to resume.

The navigations previously closed through lack of water this month were the Leicester Section of the Grand Union Canal,  the Northampton Arm and the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
