THE ROCHDALE IS CLOSED YET AGAIN, this time at Lock 23.
With a broken paddle causing problems, Keith Gudgin reports.
It was only on Friday that a repair had been made to Lock 82 on the Rochdale Canal and the canal reopened to navigation, but is closed again, this time at Gauxholme Middle Lock 23 at Todmorden.
Low water levels
This time the lock was closed on Monday as the water levels are extremely low caused by a broken paddle.
Which is not allowing the water to level in the lock to allow navigation.
The team are on site today and hope this can be a quick fix, and the the lock reopened.
