hancocks sw brWith a swing bridge failing and repaired the following day, Keith Gudgin reports.

It was Hancock's Swing Bridge (9) on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal that failed on Monday 26th caused by  to a fault with the hydraulic hose that operates the swing bridge.

And then of course the navigation closed.

Repaired the same day

But the following day, Tuesday, people had been out, and though we were told, as usual, that they were to assess the issue and plan a method of repair, it did not come to that but was repaired that same day, the 27th.

With the navigation reopened at 4pm.
