I must congratulate the Nomadic Litterpickers on their litter picking and general cleaning-up of the canals, writes Arnold Pearce.
This obvious reflects well on the National Bargee Travellers Association that have organised this and carried out such wherever they moor.
I'm not really into the association as some of its members bend the rules a bit, but this work they are doing cannot be faulted as the towpaths, as far as littler is concerned, is in poor condition.
But boaters such as I must have moored with others and never seen anyone get out of their boats and clear the towpath, as these people are doing. The number of bags of rubbish they collect show the work they do.
The only trouble they may have is finding a services open to get rid of them with so many closed.
But keep up the good work. (Perhaps Mr. Editor you can include an image?)
