Flooding along whole length

It is not just trees blowing down, but floods causing disruption, with the Severn flooding along its whole length with no hope of navigation and even caravan sites flooded, and the waters are stated as high as coming from the floods in Wales.

The terminus of the Chesterfield Canal in the town and the Rother is flooded with the restored locks covered.

The Erewash Canal has been swamped by the river along much of its length, with a report of boats broken away from their moorings.

It is trees are blocking the Lancaster Canal around Ashton-on-Ribble.

Well in flood

The Weaver is well in flood, with again boats breaking loose and one, we are told, stuck on Weston Marsh Lock.

At least all the streams feeding the reservoirs should be in full flow, to see those many stoppages caused by lack of rain now lifted. Many thanks to the readers sending in these reports.
