AFTER THE WEEK OF REOPENING the Oxford Canal for navigation, it is now closed again.
It was reopened for the week and closes tomorrow, Sunday 2nd November, Keith Gudgin reports.
The closure is from Claydon Top Lock 17 (pictured) to Aynho Weir Lock 33.
Making the most
Canal & River Trust maintain that it will be making the most of the remaining reservoir storage to support navigation between the closed locks.
But boaters are warned that water levels may drop unexpectedly and pounds then unavigable.
As the reservoir fills there is the chance of futher reopening of the 12 miles section that is now closed to navigation
