A PARCELFORCE DRIVER followed his sat nav though it sent him along a canal towpath.

The investigation that followed learned the Parcelforce driver 'followed a sat nav' though it took him off the road onto the Rochdale Canal towpath in the Chadderton Park area.
A crane needed
It then required a crane in a nearby field to hoist the van off the towpath and get it back on a road.
These days most people religiously follow sat nav instructions, and it seems even on to canal towpaths!
