Rotting lock walk board closes canal

THE HUDDERSFIELD BROAD CANAL is at present closed.

This is as the trust tells that lock parts on Colne Bridge Lock Lock 2 are unsafe to use, Keith Gudgin reports.

The walk board on the head gate on the lock is rotting and is unsafe to use, with the handrail also loose.

Closed

So the navigation is closed until the lock can be made safe.

There is no intimation from the trust when this will be repaired.
