FOLLOWING ON THE failures of both Micklethwaite and Bradley swing bridges this month, comes another, making it three.

New reason/excuse
This time it is Dock Lane Swing Bridge 209, and strangely the reason/excuse is the new one of the bridge developing a wedge fault, a reason not given before though two this month!
Our being told that the trust's Mechanical & Engineering Team were en route to attend. The image is of Bradley Swing Bridge that also failed this month.
With three swing bridge failures already this month, is it going in for the record for the Leeds & Liverpool Canal?
