THE PIZZA narrowboat owners have announced that they are packing-in their venture.

Serving both pizzas, cakes and drinks the Waltzine Matilda has mostly cruised the Macclesfield Canal serving their wares, Janet Friend reports.

The pair also appear at waterway events with their narrowboat café but have taken the decision that they have had enough.

It was five years ago that father and son, Paul and Chris Edwards, started the venture, calling at different locations each weekend.

But the pair work full time, using the weekends to operate their business, but this is proving too much hence the decision to stop, though they are quite sad at the prospect.

Writing on  Instagram, it was told:

“When we set out to create this business back in 2020, our goal was simple: to craft a special place where people could connect, come together, and enjoy the beauty of the UK canals.

Complaints

But that has now ended, caused partly by complaints of its queues preventing passage on the towpaths and taking up moorings with other boaters complaining.
