Person missing after boat capsized in Thames
A BOATER has been reported as missing after a 'small boat' carrying six people capsized in the Thames yesterday.
The news report quoted that the boat tipped-over in Sunbury Lock, Keith Gudgin reports.
Carried away
However it is not understood how a person is missing if the incident happened in a lock, unless the bottom gates were open and the person caught in the stream and carried away.
This seem likely as Surrey Fire and Rescue, the South East Coast Ambulance Service and Surrey Police were involved in the effort.
Later, both the Coastguard was called to assist Surrey Police Service with the incident and RNLI Teddington lifeboats were also called out to the scene.
The incident taking up most of the day.
