A conference on aquatic weeds
THERE is to be a conference with its aim of how to control aquatic weeds on the waterways,
This is the International Invasive Weed Conference held by The Property Care Association with speakers from various organisations giving their views and ideas of how to control.
The first time
This, it is understood, is the first time such a conference has been held.
Canal and River Trust and the Environment Agency are taking part, as they spend a great amount of money in clearing such invasive weeds from their waterways, and anything to help it's control would be welcome.
The conference takes place on 28th November at University of Warwick, Coventry.
Our picture shows the then British Waterways helping to clear our boat from the floating pennywort at a lock in Leicester on the Leicester Section.
