Another fallen tree requires specialist lifting equipment to remove

ANOTHER fallen  tree requires specialist equipment to remove it from a canal.

This time it is the Leicester Section that is closed by a large branch that has fallen from a tree that workers are unable to move, Keith Gudgin reports.

Blocking the waterway

This is near Bridge 71 and is completely blocking the waterway causing its closure until the specialist equipment can be brought to the site to remove the tree.

This follows the same situation on the Ouse that has a fallen tree blocking its waterway and is also awaiting the arrival of specialised lifting equipment.

Both navigations are blocked with no passage for boats.
