THE Environment Agency has announced yet another flood alert for the Trent.
This again is from Sharlow and right down river to the tidal at Cromwell Weir.
The alert was first issued on Sunday as the river was expected to rise during Monday, but a further flood alert has been issued today, Wednesday, as a result of heavy rain expected during the day.
The river is expected to rise further during the next 24 hours.
The others
River levels remain high on the Soar, and though were beginning to fall, this present rain is expected to keep the alert in place.
The Severn river levels still remain high at its navigational sections, and too are expected to rise.
All in all an overall stoppage on river boating.
