This means that the navigation will be closed from Thursday 19th January until Tuesday 21st February, it taking a month for contractors to undertake the work.

This follows the work on Hatton Flight on the Grand Union Canal that was closed from on the 4th January and will remain so until Friday 27th, two and a half weeks, to realign and refit both the top and bottom gates of Lock 29.

This again is to prevent the significant water loss which is causing problems for the volunteer lock keepers working the locks for boaters.
