New apartments to be built by Walsall Canal

A TOTAL of 70 new canal-side apartments are to be constructed by the side of the Walsall Canal.
These will be along the side of the canal as it runs by the A34 in Walsall, with building expected to start next month, Alan Tilbury reports.
Suffered from anti-social behaviour
Walsall Council’s planning committee backed the plans to redevelop the derelict site between the waterway and the A34, which has suffered from anti-social behaviour in the past.
It is not expected that the work will affect the waterway with any stoppages.
