Man on 'wrong side' of Soar bridge

A MAN had to be removed from the  'wrong side' of a Soar bridge yesterday.

The police were called after a man was seen hanging on to Upperton Road Bridge over the Soar in Leicester, Alan Tilbury reports.

Taken to hospital

As there were concerns as to his safety, an ambulance was called and he was taken to hospital for checks as a precaution.

This occurred during the afternoon when the road bridge over the river was fairly busy, giving officers more concern for his safety.
