Anti-cyclists going too far

IN AN attack on speeding towpath cyclists, there has again been an incident of drawing pins scattered along a towpath that is used by cyclists.

However, it is not considered to be be boaters who are responsible, but as the section of the towpath is by the Cam in Cambridge used extensively by rowers, with reports of speeding cyclists causing accidents and ensuing arguments, someone connected with the sport could be responsible.

Cause injury and pain

But whoever it is it is going too far, for though indeed giving a cyclists' bike a puncture will certainly slow him or her down, it will be very harmful to dogs stepping on to upturned drawing pins and cause injury and pain.

Cam Conservators have removed the pins using magnets, and are keeping a watch on such activity.

This follows another occurrence where drawing pins were scattered along the towpath of Bridgewater Canal in Manchester, that caused punctures to the tyres of cyclists.
