Cruising boats

I would just have to agree what others are saying about boats cruising on the waterways at the moment.

 

Being moored on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, I have to cover the same area every time we cruise, either up or down, so it struck me just how few boats are actually cruising compared with five years ago when we first moved here.

Though I cannot say the Leeds & Liverpool was really crowded, even then, there was always another boat about to share locks with, but this time we never met up with a single boat, though we made a point of stopping in the middle of the day in the hope a boat would come along, but during the whole of the holiday period, no luck, though we did pass just a few going the other way.

There are certainly less boats about up here.
