Failures started

THE Summer season has not yet started, but the failures have, with the Kennet & Avon Canal already closed due to a lock failure.

Higgs Lock (83) near Newbury has a 'structure failure' yesterday, Friday, closing the waterway, Keith Gudgin tells us.

We are told it will be Wednesday before any further information will be given.
