Live aboards should be given a reduction

THERE is little doubt that Canal & River Trust's big increase in boat licence fees is causing much concern.

And though continuous cruisers believe they are being hard hit, even live aboards are complaining.

With one, Rob Halladay, arguing:

Wear on the system

Canal & River Trust says continuous cruisers have to pay more for the extra use and wear they put on the system.

By the same reasoning live aboard boaters who have a mooring and never cruise should be given a proportionate reduction for not putting any wear on the system.
