Section of the L&L reopens

ONE section of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal has reopened after its closure due to lack of water.
The navigation is now open from Newlay Three Locks to Gargrave Flight, on the eastern end of the canal, though both locks are still closed, Keith Gudgin tells us.
No navigation
However there is still no navigation possible from River Lock (1) to Newlay Locks.
Other flights on the waterway are still chained-up, so are unusable.
