THE Saltisford Canal Trust is organising a Waterside Canal Fun Weekend by the Grand Union Canal in Warwick.

This year the Trust is concentrating on the heritage aspect on the weekend of the 12th and 13th of September, from 9-30 am to 5 pm, at its canal side gardens in the centre of Warwick.

New canal pavilion

Inside its new canal pavilion will be handmade crafts & gifts, whilst outside will be short boat trips.

There will be model boat displays, Warwickshire WI Cake Stall, locally brewed Real Ale, folk music, friendly Pygmy Goats, and a chance to have a close encounter with a Skunk and creepy crawlies.

Explore

Visitors will be able to explore the waterside gardens, experience the sensory garden, meet Bernard the famous living willow bear and learn more about the history of our local canals in the visitor centre.

In smaller marquees will be a beer tent, live folk music, children's activities, tombola, and displays by other local canal societies.
