Match anglers blame boats

THE anglers taking part in the match on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal at Keighley blamed passing boats for their poor results.

The anglers taking part in Sunday's Craven Summer League match on the pound at East Marton only managed one decent weight—a single large perch of around 450g, Alan Tilbury tells us.

First the anglers blamed the weather, then blamed 'a succession of boats' for their poor results, a report stating that all other weights were disappointingly low.

Another seeming excuse was that fishing on the pound was 'generally out of sorts'.
